Neighbourhood Plan

Our Neighbourhood Plan is a community-led blueprint that gives The Baldons a direct say in how our local area grows and changes. Written by residents for residents, it establishes legal planning policies that developers and local authorities must take notice of. Rather than stopping change, it ensures that any future development is well-managed and directly addresses our specific local needs, helping to sustain vital community assets.

Crucially, the plan focuses on preserving the unique rural character and heritage of our villages. It gives us the power to protect valued green spaces and views, guide the design and scale of new buildings so they blend in with our surroundings, and identify priorities for improving local infrastructure. Once formally adopted, this plan carries genuine legal weight.
